On Wednesday, 4th November, PressTV filmed an episode of its flagship current affairs debate show, Forum, with the title, The Lisbon Treaty: Is Europe becoming a Super State? It will be broadcast on PressTV (SKY 515, UK / www.presstv.co.uk) at the following times:

Sun, 8th Nov, 19:00 GMT

Mon, 9th Nov, 02:00 + 13:00 GMT

It will then be stored on our website: http://www.presstv.com/programs/#1.

The show was a fiery and exciting debate about the future of Europe: Will the Lisbon Treaty benefit Europeans? Is the EUs ultimate goal to create a Super State? Should there be more referendums for the people of Europe to decide their future? Who should be the first President of Europe?

Speaking in favour of greater European integration is the impassioned and eloquent chair of the campaign group European Movement, Peter Luff who does his best to explain the importance of the EU to ordinary people. Former MEP Robert Evans contributes, its shame programs like this arent shown on mainstream British television, maybe as a result of tonights debate, they will.

Nigel Farage was at his charismatic best, deriding the perceived lack of democracy in the European process, the British people dont want to be governed by Europe. Private Eye Founder, Christopher Booker also adds his humorous wisdom to the debate, the Czechs have both the Czech flag and EU flag outside their government buildings in recognition that they are governed by both themselves and the EU.
