SLAM POET: Tui-Z triumphed at the Grand SLam FInals and became a member of the 2007 Hawaii National Slam team. His poetry bursts open truths universal, and personal. Only two years ago Tui was in a stagnant pool of wanna-be stars on the mainland, Orange County. He had to come home to the story of this land, he wanted to tell stories with meaning, slam is one of the last few places where you are face to face, the sound waves touch you, you and the audience create as your reaction, its the last
pure communication.
