Halo Vs. Metroid Prime 3 - Gameplay Controls

First of all, I am not what you call leet at FPS games (you should see me in CTF matches). However, this video is to show an example of playing Halo with XBOX 360 style gamepad VS. the Nintendo Wii controlls in MP3. I'm not good at either one, but Wii is definitely more keyboard/mouse style and is very clean compared to the 360 gamepad in my opinion.

How much lag do you see with the Wiimote? I just got the metroid trilogy and I feel like it takes about .25 seconds for the gun to respond to my movements. I'm wondering if that's normal. I think I see it a bit in this video but I'm not sure.

@tannyp83 I usually experience lag running in 480p on 120hz HD TVs. That is not metroid prime specific, I get that with even New Super Mario Bros 2D platformer. I haven't figured out a "Fix" for it yet other than to play it on a different TV set.

@galestin I guess you're right, the MP graphics were really nice for 2002. But there was a nice style that Halo had that actually (to me) look better than Halo 2. MP2 didn't have much'va difference over MP though

Metroid prime 1 had better overall graphics than Halo: CE, and Halo 2 was more or less the same as metroid prime 2, but Metroid still had more detail when it came to graphics.

only Halo's 3 and after have better graphics, but still have less detail than any of the metroid prime games (outside cinematic).

I prefer Halo because it's graphics were great and the first two Metroid Prime games were kinda hard to play (graphics wise.) But Metroid Prime has a great plot to it and it's one of the only good games on the Wiii

metriod prime is next to zelda ocarina of time and mario 3 . Nintendo made the best games, and still do.

They're really not comparable. They have totally different mechanics, for the most part. Few would argue that the Metroid Prime series stands out as more innovative, and certainly more unique, even if it doesn't have the "mainstream" appeal of Halo.
