I am so in love with him even after all these years. I saw him in concert when I was 15 at the Tulsa State Fair.

He was cool too. His sons told a story about how a gentleman named John at one of their concerts told them: Once when John was driving his mom's car on a first date in LA when he was sixteen, they came up to a red light and Rick Nelson rolled up in his Caddy beside them. John's date was freaking out, and Rick rolled down his window and said to John, "Hey man, we hit the studios again on Tuesday, let me know."
He was a wingman to a complete stranger. That's bad ass any day of the week.

He has that something in his voice, that captures you... It's kind of scary but you can never turn the radio off, when he starts his song... Amazing

"Deadpan"? and "not smiling"? If I a guy was singing or saying, "Baby, I'm sorry," with a big smile on his face, I can imagine how seriously he'd be taken. He knew what he was doing--even when he was 16.
