Life in Spring Texas by Jill Wente and Rick Ratchford, Spring Texas Realtors .... http://discoverspringtexas.com

We are going to help you discover Spring Texas, the city we live in, by taking you on a tour of our shopping venues.

Whether you are looking for a new outfit, the latest kitchen gadget, or a unique conversation piece ... you will find it and a whole lot more waiting for you at our regional malls of Willowbrook and the Woodlands, our shopping centers of Champions Village and Market Street, and at our specialty stores located in Old Town Spring.

Opened in 1981, the Willowbrook Mall is located at State Highway 249 and FM 1960. The enclosed single story mall has more than 180 retail stores with Dillard's, Macy's, JcPenney, and Sears as its anchors. The Willowbrook Mall is home to numerous popular retailers including Abercrombie & Fitch, Guess, Banana Republic, the Limited, American eagle, Hollister, Williams Sonoma, Fossils, Ann Taylor LOFT, and many more. The Warehouse clubs of Sam's and Costco are also located at the 249 and FM 1960 intersection.

On the Southeast corner of Champion Forest and FM 1960 is the Champions Village Shopping Center. Here you will find a Barnes & Noble bookstore, along with other retail stores including Kirkland's, Stein Mart, World Market, Palais Royal and several restaurants.

Across the street on the Northeast corner of Champion Forest and FM 1960 is the upscale Champion Forest Plaza Shopping Centers. Its retailers include Sur la table, the container store, Gap, Ann Taylor, Victoria's Secret, Coldwater Creek, Chico's, and Talbots.

Located off of I-45 on Spring Cypress is Old Town Spring. For a fun day and a step back in time, Old Town Spring is the place to go. There are over 150 shops and restaurants in a turn of the century setting with shops filled with accessories for the home, furniture, fun Texas themed gifts, crafts, and art galleries containing hand crafted original pieces.

Open in 1994, the Woodlands Mall is located east of I-45 and north of the Woodlands Parkway. The enclosed two-story mall has Dillard's, Macy, Sears, JcPenney, and Forever 21 as its anchors and with more than 200 retail stores you can easily find the brand names and high fashion you are looking for. Some of the many retailers located in the Woodlands Mall are Abercrombie & Fitch, Soma, Chico's, Talbots, Coach, Banana Republic, Bag 'n Baggage, Ann Taylor, and the Disney Store.

In 2004, the Woodlands Mall added a 150,000 square foot outdoor section and with it came new retail tenants including Barnes & Noble, Williams Sonoma, and one of my favorite stores, Pottery Barn.

Adjacent to the Woodlands Mall and a short free trolley ride away is Market Street. Market Street is an open air shopping center with the feel of a traditional town square. Market Street consists of more than of more than 70 shops and restaurants including Borders, Tiffany & Co., Sur la table, Eddie Bauer, the gap, j.jill, and j. crew.

In addition to shops and restaurants, Market Street is also home to a Cinemark, 5 screen theaters with stadium seating.

At the center of Market Street is central park. Central park is a gathering and recreational area and it plays host to numerous live music events through-out the year.

One of the many great things to discover about Spring Texas is its abundance and variety of shopping.
