@Baillie1210 Try going to a Systema class some time. Most of their work is very hands on, this video is mostly focused on demonstrating redirection without contact. Having done Kali and Eskrima, then gone into Systema, I can tell you that this does work. And it is very VERY painful to fight against.
@hanous1 The strikes aren't supposed to have power, that's the entire point of this video. This isn't how to punch someone, this is how to redirect them without contact. I'd encourage you to actually go to a class with someone like Mikhail, or Vlad, or Konstantin, and see what they're actually doing.
I'm sorry, the reactions if the aggressor are unrealistic to what is happening. Rarely does one movement resolve an attack. There is no way most of those strikes have any power.
@TheKonstantinLevin yeah rex quan do. until you fight a real fight. like bjj and compete all the time then you will understand fighting. i compete all the time i know for a fact this shit does not work.
@Baillie1210 No I'm not a fighter but I did several years of Wing Tsun and before that 4 years of Ju-Jitsu. I know it's nothing but I can tell you that the principles this stuff is based on works.. I Tried it and I also saw good masters being stunned by understanding this style...
@Baillie1210 it s so slow just because you can actually understand what's going on when you are doing it.. It's not about learning technics, it's a theory that you apply in different situation.. You have to be very conscious of what you have to do. But if you reach a good level it will work.. Believe me, the inventor of this is Kadochnikov, a Russian general and the man in the video is himself a colonel... He doesn't like to joke trust me :)
@Baillie1210 of course I can't disagree with that but they study combact and they study this. You should really try to find out why they teach that in almost slow motion.. I can assure you it works. I went to a seminary in Moscow, and one in Italy. Of course I'm not a champion in fighting :) But this stuff works, if you check Vall Ryazanov you will see him teaching to mma guys.. It works:)
@hanous1 your tension is your enemy.
