@paulb1912c Define IRA because most Loyalists are ignorant enough to view the old IRA, Prov. IRA, & all of the splinter-groups who are responsible for most of these deaths as one group. The thing is, Wesley Johnston did not update his website since 2000 & since then most deaths have been traced to either UVF gangs or R.IRA gangs. Anyways, a lot of those Protestants where indeed paramilitary scum, who actually aimed at civilians. I'm glad the Prov. IRA took out men like Lenny Murphy. TAL ;)

UVF around 396 killings - 89 Protestants 265 Catholics

Even the IRA killed more catholics than the UVF

@bungalow2008 As for Murphy, I respect those two men who jumped out of that black van, read him his death sentence, & shot him 20 times w/ an AR-18 & 9mm pistol. Loyalists are more defensive about these things because they know that they're wrong. Trust me, the IRA did terrible things, but most of the groups that carried out those actions were indeed splinter groups. Gangs that took the name. The UVF & all other Loyalist/Protestant paramilitary groups were scum.

@bungalow2008 I will show my respect to Loyalist ideas, but how anyone can call scum-bags like Gusty Spence & Lenny Murphy "heroes", let alone "humans", is beyond by comprehensibility. The UVF were far worse than the IRA ever were. 93% of their targets were civilians, & they didn't even kill one Prov. IRA member per year. Spence even ordered his men to throw a petrol bomb into the window of a 77-year-old Catholic widow. At least the Prov. IRA were professional & organized.
