A montage of different shots from a variety of different pro bowlers, spanning the era from 1962 to 1981. How many can you guess right? You'll be lucky if you get more than one or two. In fact, you'd be darn near psychic. Some faces here you probably haven't seen in a while. Some you may not remember. Others you most certainly will. Some peculiar and memorable moments. And can you name all the play-by-play voices? Here's a clue: You may not remember that all these voices worked bowling events on TV. But clearly, they did. Have fun. :-)

  • I love this video; some real classics. The one that surprised me most though was Gary Dickinson. Was that VIN SKULLY I heard doing the commentary as a guest in place of Chris Schenkel???? Sure sounds like him ...... I think he is my all-time favorite baseball announcer ...

  • Jack Buck. He wasn't "subbing" for Schenkel. In the first couple years of ABC's Pro Bowler's Tour, Buck and Shenkel shared the booth with Billy Welu, who could barely get a word in edgewise.

  • I recognize Jack Buck's voice easily in the Don Carter clip. It is the voice in the Gary Dickinson Clip - sure sounds an awful lot like Vin Skully to me ......

  • @tram54 - That was Al Michaels when he was the backup announcer for Pro Bowlers Tour in his early ABC days.

  • Holy hell. Ed "Spares Are For Sissies" Bourdase. lmao

  • i knew earl anthony

  • @BowlingOldies - I'm pretty sure it's Al Michaels. It sure sounds like him. He filled in for Schenkel in the 1970s.

  • Wow! The first time I've seen Billy Welu in action. Funny thing, I guessed a third of the bowlers correct. Thanks for posting!

BTW, do you have anything on the Manhattan Rubber ball?

  • Wow! Jim Poulos! Thanks for putting this up!

  • That was interesting but, imposible. How can you quess just by a bowling ball hitting the pins?
