hey man i just installed the same catch can today and i cant seem to run it with the stock air box, also did/do you experience any vacuum leakage? and whats your normal idle rpm after the car has been warmed up, anyhelp would be great. thanks.

@Perazzi11 how many miles does ur car have? vw says it is normal for the engine to burn out oil. but thats for the first 30k miles. another question, is ur car chipped?

would the valve build up make me eat oil ... cause my 06 just ate up 4 quarts of oil in 7,000 miles im freaked out about that!

Did you tighten down your hose clamps? Did you make sure the three set screws are right?

I have 65k miles on the car now. The car is chipped with APR. I burn about .5 quart every 5k miles. More I read the more I think the catch can has a minimal benefit, but eh....

Oil is known to build up on the intake valves of the 2.0T FSI engine. The catch can helps catch a good portion of the oil that causes this build up. A catch can will not solve the problem. You should still have the valves cleaned every 80-100k miles or so, but the catch can will help alleviate the build up.
