  • So many wonderful memories of my hometown, NOLA. Unfortunately the lousy Katrina placed us in a part of LA that doesn't know anything about Mr Bingle.

But we go back to visit as often as we can......especially during the Christmas season. I saw the video where they welcomed the big Mr Bingle back. Yea!

Thank you so much for this video. The lifetime memories brought tears to my eyes. But I'm happy.

  • my mom grew up in new orleans and her parents (my grandparents) are in town and they were talking about how mr.bingles voice would scare her to death like when she was 10 she would run out of the room crying now we watched it she is laughing :D!

  • I remember taking a small child to see Mr. Bingle about 29 yrs ago

It was a big deal and always a childhood memory for me. Went I went to college and some of my roomates didn't know who Mr. Bingle was I brought back a newspaper to shw them.

    Thanks again!

  • Mr. Bingle use to scare the crap out of me when i was a child , the commercial had creepy music and his eyes were evil. I would hear the commercial come on and run and hide behind the couch cover my eyes and ears till i figured it was over. Im now 46 and my aunt sent me a stuffed bingle a few yrs ago for chistmas. How fitting. The creepy suffed bingle sits under my tree each year.

  • I was a Memphis native and moved to New Orleans when I was 8. I was happy to see that they had Mr. Bingle in New Orleans too. (Didn't realize it started there at that time.) I thought he was everywhere because he was in my two cities. Seeing him always let me know it was almost Christmas.

  • Memphians love Mr. Bingle too for we adopted him when he came to us on t.v. thanks to Lowenstein's department store and many of us still to this day remember him with fondness and a smile upon our face.

  • Thank you for the memory; got a chance to show my wife [who is from Los Angeles] after showing her Mr. Bingle at the Dillards store at the Lakeview Mall in Metairie today.

  • Mr Bingle was also Big in Memphis.
