The Tulsa Youth Symphony performs "Jupiter" from "The Planets", op. 32, by Gustav Holst. Presented at the Union Performing Arts Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma, April 28, 2008. Richard Wagner, conducting. This was the final performance of the 2007-08 season.

  • Ever one of the finest ever composed and one of Holst's greatest pieces. I would have loved to be at the Queens hall back in 1918. Good times.

  • Haha, whoever keeps posting these videos, thank you! I was in TYSO from 2001-2005....it's always interesting to hear how things are going. I especially love the Planets. We played Mars when I was a freshman and I loved it, despite the fact that I'm pretty sure I can thank the first trumpet for some hearing loss :-/

  • A little too slow, otherwise I like it because this ensemble ahd the initiative to practice and perform this! (Allegro giocoso = merrily fast.)
