When you install the program, you need to make sure that you set the file to "run this program as an administrator". Right click before you launch it and select Properties, then compatibility (in Vista). Make sure the "run this program as an administrator" box is ticked. Otherwise you will be stuck with the Groovy button on your screen until you reboot. It works in Vista and Windows 7. You can't create wav files directly, however. That function doesn't work in Vista and Windows 7.
Try FlexibeatzII: Free, interface similar to Hammerhead (graphics more basic though). It's got 10 channels instead of 6. It can instantly load up any .wav file you like into each channel. You can even synthesize sounds from scratch in each channel. Heaps more effects per channel than just two: filters, reverb, chorus, vocoder, ring modulater etc. 3 band parametric EQ per channel. Slicing and remixing features. Patterns can be of any length you like, and you can chain them into complete songs.
i downloaded it and opened up to use ..and behind the part where you click groovy it says FILE ACCESS DENIED!....so i uninstalled it and downloaded it from another website and the same thing happened can you help with this
If you "suck badly" why are you teaching other people how to suck badly.

HammerHead's a cool drum program. I've done a few hip hop drum patterns with it. Hope they come out with some more drum samples soon.
