Replacing oil is very very difficult, very very expensive and the population/economy/culture could not cope with it. growing fuel requires land, and fertilizer, (oil).

No easy solution, because of the mentality of the people.

No I think we need to start industrial hemp oil and use that as fuel. Not only that but solar and wind electricity along with hydro and good ole fashioned elbow grease
