I know its not much of a tribute but I thought some may want to hear Herb make a call. This is from a Greatest "Hits" of the '96 "Sold Out" Season CD. The game was Sept. 10, 1996 vs Anaheim. Enjoy.

  • This reminds me of summer nights... Coming in after mowing the lawn... Opening the windows and listening to the sound of crickets and smelling the fresh cut grass... Sitting back and listening to Herbie call the Tribe! :)

  • this was my favorite call EVER, god bless Herbie

  • @poshko41 That truly was the best of times.

  • Anyone have a recording of him calling the Indians winning the pennant in 95'?

  • Manny Ramirez 3-run homerun, WOW!

  • Herb Score was a pretty good friend of my grandfather's. My grandfather, who was the first president of the Wahoo club, said besides being a kind gentlemen, his velocity was pretty scary. We have had 1st row, 1st base tickets for 40 years in my family. When my grandfather thought it was a hopeless cause and leave at the 7th inning stretch, Score would say, "well folks, the Big Buffalo is going home.

  • Herb Score was a great baseball broadcaster for the cleveland indians. He will allways be the voice of the tribe. May he RIP. We will all miss you Herb.

  • He was such a nice guy, i was 6 i think and my family went to the Jake for a game. we ran into him in a parking garage and he stopped to talk with us for a while, wasnt rushing anywhere. real down to earth good guy. i miss hearing him call the games

  • even though Tom Hamilton is the voice of the Tribe, Herb Score is Mr. Cleveland Indian. I remember growing up listening to him on the radio.

  • He was the best. Period.

  • I get all choked up just hearing his voice again. It will never be the same. RIP Herbie.

  • I'll tell ya man, it was a great throw back for me listening to Herb! I heard Hammi in there and I wish him well! I miss Herb! Geez ,Take care folks!
