I made a second trip to Alva today to finish looking around and get some more video. I had noticed the nearly extinct cantilever signal bridge on the northwest side of town and wanted to get some footage of it. These used to be the norm on the Santa Fe system, but nearly all of them were replaced with the standard silver pole mast well over 20 years ago. I hadn't seen one in ages. I also wanted to get some footage from the Salt Fork River bed below the railroad bridge. This was a fun trip and I met a really great BNSF employee and got some great horn from the train crew on the second train.
