Presenting a fan-created montage of web-based images that were inspired by GREG DULLI's acoustic rendition of "THE KILLER" from the album "LIVE AT TRIPLE DOOR" to be collected, arranged and released unto the world...

In 2007, between a Twilight Singers tour and the Gutter Twins' debut, Dulli appeared at two benefit shows for the Vera Project, a Seattle music and arts center, performing mostly stripped-down versions of Twilight Singers songs. Of course, there's only so far down you can strip a personality as outsized as Dulli's, but the experiment did alter his usual context. Clearly Dulli thought something of the two nights as well, as now about a year later he's distilled the tapes to a solid digital-only live disc - surprisingly, his first live record-- which captures him at a transitional but no less compelling stage.

Right off the bat, "The Killer" shows off Dulli's formidable presence-- the performer's intense vocals alone nearly matching the song's studio bombast - review from Pitchfork

  • per an old article i read: "According to Dulli, the song examines the moment Jerry Lee Lewis went from musical hero to outcast over his marriage to his 13-year-old cousin..."

However, my interpretation has always been that The Killer is the guy who guns down the Twilite Kid...

  • Don't be idiots.

G Diddy jests all the time about the origins of songs.

Anyone who doesn't understand that the man only pens torch hymns should get back to grade school and a broken heart because Katey left him for the prom king.

Leave whiskey and trouble to those who get it.

    Love N' Peace.

  • @TwiKid

The song is self explanatory really.

And never ever fall for writers' "alleged" meanings of songs 'till they are well into their 80's and not even then.

  • @heavenfunkfish69

Yes. One of the reasons I have considered him, until I've learnt differently, as of Italian descent

  • dont ever take this vid down
