@brittanycouture18 - I first saw this film when it first came out when I was a university student. My favorite scenes were this one (my favorite line), David Lochary's flasher scenes, and of course, the dancing asshole.

Actually, in the movie 'Babs Johnson' is an alias. Connie and Raymond mention Divine calling herself Babs Johnson as the plot is being set up in one of the earlier scenes.

@ubit397 I assumed it was the other way around,.. that maybe Babs Johnson was her private name ( that her friends and family called her at home ) and Divine was was just her public name ( that she used with the media and press and all,.. kind'a like a theatrical name or media persona, ya know ? ).

@Skulldini I believe that once in the narration and once more in Connie's dialouge, that it is stated that Babs in an alias. If not for that, I would have assumed the same as you.

@ubit397 Yeah, "Mr. Jay from Dreamland" explains that Divine is living under the alias of Babs Johnson at the beginning. In the deleted scenes on the DVD, Divine cackles about her other AKA's--"The Hog Princess" and "Glenn Milstead", which was Divine's name in real life!
