I learned how to use bones in Blender, so I decided to try out a character animation. I chose this particular gesture (snapping one's own neck) randomly, it was the first thing that popped into my head! ;D ;D ;D

  • Umm your Shoulder deformation needs more than a little work

  • Yeah, no idea how to fix that yet :P Any pointers, or just criticism?

  • MM, not sure how you can fix it because I dont know your rigging setup. Are you using weight painting or just parenting?

  • Parenting. Though I experimented a bit with weight painting, too.

Upon re-inspection of the model, I think that this is just not a great model for animation. The faces on the shoulders are too large and irregular...So this is the best I'm going to get out of it. Next time I'll use a better model.

  • Your weighting under the arms needs a little work, and the arm swing stops abruptly around 9 (though that is always hard to get right). Looks good though
