1997 Mazda Protege DX 234,000+ FTW. There is one small problem the car looses power after shifting into second or down shifting into passing gear at highway speeds. Does that sound familiar to any of you?
proud owner of a manual 94 protege and its still going strong! just installed some aftermarket speakers in it today. only thing is the clutch is going out, not sure how much longer til it needs to be replaced...
I have an automatic 94 protege, it's at 145k miles right now... i hope it makes it to 200k miles

Mine was at 260,000 when I got rid of it... bad tranny and smoking engine. I paid $575.. sold it for $300. I wish I could find another one.
