My 6 year old son was dianosed with Ewings Sarcoma May 2007. We continue to fight it but 2007 was a pretty emotional year for all of us. He had extensive surgery on his legs where the Orthopods took the infected Tibia from his right leg and replaced it with his left Fibular.

  • Thank you for posting on Reid's wall. Your Friend may be fine - stay positive and think of lots of good things. Ewngs is a curable one but it is also so aggressive. Best of luck...I will send all mypositive thoughts to you too!

  • my best friend had ewings sarcoma in his femur, then he was cured...then they found out it had spread to his lungs. I don't know whats going to happen to him the survival rate ite only 25-30 im so scared

  • I had that cancer in my sacrum and I'm 19 I'm glad to hear Reid is alright :) I've been in remmission now for 2 months and I feel great!

  • Well done Reid! The ability to remove the affected bone without complete limb amputation was fortunate for him, all things considered. My Godson has gone through treatment for this last year; it was seated in his pelvis so the doctors did not attempt to actually excise the tumour. I know how appalling this is for everyone concerned so well done for such a positive video and outcome.

  • It is so refreshing to see a young child overcome this disease. My best friend was diagnosed in 2004 when she was 18-fought hard and we all thought she was in the clear... she later passed away at 22. I hope all is well with Reid-his spirit seems unscathed- he's got a long, healthy life ahead of him.

  • Ur video was beautiful =) i hope he is going well =)

i also had ewings (diagnosed last october when i just turned 14)... but in my kidney, which is extremly rare. And i have recently been given the 'all clear!!'

I'd love to know how he is going

  • best of luck ,, my wishes to u always

  • my daughter was also diagnosed in may of 2007 she was stage 4 at diagnonis, it was in her pelvis and bone marrow, our first round of chemo was not successful, she was 13 years old and always smiled and acted silly thru it all, we now have our own little angel in heaven, she passed away January 18,2008.

good luck in your fight and most of all stay strong. God Bless you and your family
