Dave Barry, Pulitzer Prize-winning humor columnist and author of more than 30 books, is no stranger to critics trying to censor his writing. The nationally syndicated humorist has written some of our nations funniest columns—and with the First Amendment on his side, hes been winning the battle for free speech for over 25 years. This new video from FIRE features Barry discussing why freedom of expression is important to him and how todays politically correct college campuses are creating a culture of censorship that stifles humor writing and the opinions of millions of students across the country.

It would be fine if it truely was an election by the majority, but there was so much fraud in this election, it is not legal. I am so offended by the leftist comments that I want them to stop, but obviously they have a double standard. I have a right to offend you. Read the Constitution. If you don't like what I say, then don't listen or look. The colleges are dumbing down our children, so that they can be controled. Free thought, free speech, do they even know what that means anymore?
Nkaed Wombat is a retard. Conservites weren't protesting the electon, just the health care bill. And it was perfectly legal to carry firearms... so what's the problem? Can republicans not protest anymore? Or only the left be able to?
Look at all these comments from people claiming that "liberals" are always being offended. Tho I'm tempted to say both sides get offended easily, I think conservitards have the thinner skin. After all, initiatives for healthcare equated with Nazism? The fuss of Barack Obama's middle name? Bringing guns to a rally with the pres? Shouting at the president? Man, they just can't take the loss of a single election, which is weird since they allegedly stand for democracy (rule of the majority.)
oboyd .. I messed up and gave you a thumbs down .. I meant a thumbs up ...!! way up great points ... YOUTUBE ADMINISTRATOR .. help us change this to a thumbs up
Who are you to tell me how to spell, lightfallonme? You have the dumbest, most irritating spelling I've ever read. You spell like your texting. You are a schmuck.
But don't blame only the liberals for this attitude. I hear lots of mean and dismissive, belittling attitudes from those that call themesleves "conservative." (Se some in this forum too.) What do these terms mean anymore? And as to one party government, that is what we have been having with the Republicans, with a couple of breaks in between. Bush imposed the Homeland Security fascism upon us, ironically moving in the Nazi direction.
Is this satire? "Moving us in the Nazi direction?" What are you able to do today that you were unable to do under Bush? What symmetry do you find between the efforts of the HSA and the systematic round up and murder of Jews, the disabled, homosexuals, etc? What are some examples of conservatives attempting to stifle free speech?

Thanks. For what it's worth, the music in the introduction was good, and it was well produced. It was just when Dave Barry was speaking that it was distracting. He was the focus, anything taking away from that reduces the impact of him and what he is saying.
