all fired up quest glitch? wtf?

the reason why you get this is because you have started defender of varrock quest but have not finished it. so finish the quest and this message dissapears! any questions just write a comment i read all comments so happy questing!
the quest log says " blaze has asked me to light the nearby beacon. to light the beacon, i need to add twenty logs of the same type and then light the fire with a tinderbox."
when i talk to blaze he says something about were talking and yet the beacon is still not light.
when i try to light the beacon blaze says that there is no time to be messing with the beacon as there is a threat from the wilderness and we are all on high alert..or something like that.
i have talked to the king and all he dose is yell at me =)
any help here guys? please, im trying to do all the quests leading up to wgs (while guthix sleeps) so i can solo tormented deamons, and this is just a roadblock..
