UConn women's basketball First Night (Supershow) 10/15/10

The 2010-11 season opening lollapalooza event for the UConn women's basketball team. The focus is on UConn's 5 freshmen and the 7 high school recruits sitting in the stands: Morgan Tuck (2012), Kiah Stokes (2011), Kaleena Lewis (2011), Diamond DeShields (2013), Moriah Jefferson (2012), Brianna Banks (2011) and Bria Holmes (2012).

It turns out that the mystery "88" in the mesh back of Bria Hartley's (#14) jersey is actually part of "1888", the date of the founding of UConn, which is stitched into the mesh panel of all the jerseys. It is usually obscured by the big player number on the back.

That "some guy" that Diamond hugged was Jeremy Lamb, who turned out to play a huge role in the national championship season

@jpl04002 Yes, I found that out after shooting and posting the video. He went to the same high school as Diamond DeShields, Norcross H.S. I left the incident in the video because I thought it was of recruiting interest that DeShields apparently knows someone well on the UConn men's team, even though I didn't know who he was at the time. A silky player.

Yes, you're right. I found that out after the video was posted, and amended the descriptive commentary above to explain that.
