  • I am surprised this is from 88, sounds more like an early 90s song.

  • LOL...my Chocolate Lab used to sit and enjoy this song...She knew good music. Cocoa is passed now but the song always remains!

  • Good song, I can't get over how large her mouth is. HUGE.

  • This song is groovy!!!

  • This definitely has a 90's vibe

  • Reddit continues to take me to amazing places.

  • pass the joint Edie..you're cut off...

  • I always thought it needed more cowbell.

  • @RossJr8604 derp.

  • When did Darlene from Roseanne make this video?!

  • @serfcity1 Everything after Green was shit? I guess I disagree with that. I mean; if I had to choose my favourite REM album it would be between Murmur, Automatic for the People and New Adventures in Hi-Fi.

But yeah, to my original comment, I guess I was just being a little pedantic just for the sake of it.

Right now I can't really think of any examples. I mean, there are bands today that try to emulate the 80s sound, but I'm not sure how successfully they implement that.

I think you make some good points that are hard to argue with.

But REM was before its time and everything it produced after Green was shit, imo.

I think your argument is a fair one in the sense that many early 90s bands that made this type of sound famous were already playing music in the late 80s.

It just hadn't caught on commercially yet.

And there is no doubt that some late-90s and early 2000s music was influenced by early 90s music, but 70s and 80s? Examples?
