How does it separate the shell from the nut? Meaning how does it know the difference after it's cracked and sent along together? I see it on a vibrating line with holes, but since the nuts and shells can be of same size, I still don't get it...

A description of the process:

1- The walnuts are cracked in the cracker (see 0:21 to0:27)

2- The cracked pieces, nut and shell, are sorted by size on the vibrating table. Small pieces first (see 0:35), then Large pieces (0:45), then Halves (see 0:55).

3- An Aspirator is used to separate shell from the nut. On this unit only the halves have the aspiration (see 1:10)

4- What doesn't fall thru the vibrating table goes back to a recracker and back onto the vibrating table (see 1:37 to 1:45)

If I was working there, I'd just be feeding on the walnuts wildly! Just big handfuls of them and just chewing on giant mouthfuls of them and my cheeks would just be bulging with walnut meat!

Wouldnt a person that ate that much walnuts have walnut gas? I wonder what walnut gas would smell like?
