@Gibasization Leia o livro de Números e o Deuteronômio e você verá que foi Nosso Senhor que instituiu as regras para os paramentos litúrgicos do templo de Jerusalém. Todos os sumos sacerdotes de Aarão até Caifás usavam os paramentos que Deus ordenou para a sacra liturgia do antigo testamento.

@Gibasization Nosso Senhor chegou a espancar aqueles que faziam do templo, um lugar de mercado e vendas. Porquê? Porque no templo de Deus, só o sacro e o melhor têm que ser oferecido. Até no livro de Números, Deus pede à nação de Israel para os sumos sacerdotes usarem certos mantos e roupas clericais para os sacrifícios dos cordeiros. A Igreja, como é contínua do Antigo Testamento, também requer certas roupas clericais para o Sacrifício de Nosso Senhor na Cruz atravéz da Santa Missa.

Probably so!! I know the Ukrainians would be perturbed if there were any change in our divine liturgy. You should have seen the ruckus that ensued when Ukrainian Catholic parishes in the U.S. and Canada adopted the Gregorian calendar for liturgical purposes!

@mindspring57 The culture of the Ukranian Catholic Rite is different than that the of Latin/Roman Rite of the Liturgy. If Rome started to change how Divine Worship was celebrated in the name of progress, I'm sure people would be perturbed...

@meiguoren777 The activities of which you speak apply to the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church. Please bear in mind that there are also Eastern rites, in full communion with the Apostolic See at Rome. I am a Ukrainian Catholic (Byzantine Rite). We use the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, and the Ukrainian Rite ordains married men to the priesthood (cuts down on the homosexual problem considerably). As noted, we are fully Catholic, and we are in communion with the Apostolic See at Rome.

@mindspring57 Surely, the organically development of the Mass was formalized then. Centuries thereafter, you discredit the rational of our saints who have gone before... You mean to tell me that the Church that was once thought provoking-rich of truth, beauty, and goodness is the same or more developed than the current?!

@meiguoren777 The Tridentine Mass was not adopted until 1570. Nothing wrong with it, and I think those who prefer it should be allowed to use it, but let's not expand its history beyond what it is.
