From the album "Virtuoso Cello Music" Performed by Ericson Bengt - cello & Langebo Karin - harp.
Charles-Camille Saint-Saëns (9 October 1835 16 December 1921) was a French composer, organist, conductor, and pianist, known especially for The Carnival of the Animals, Danse Macabre, Samson and Delilah, Havanaise, Introduction and Rondo capriccioso, and his Symphony No. 3 (Organ Symphony).
Le Carnaval des Animaux (The Carnival of the Animals) is a musical suite of fourteen movements by the French Romantic composer Camille Saint-Saëns. The orchestral work has a duration between 22 and 30 minutes.
Le Carnaval was composed in February 1886 while Saint-Saëns was vacationing in a small Austrian village. It was originally scored for a chamber group of flute/piccolo, clarinet (B flat and C), two pianos, glass harmonica, xylophone, two violins, viola, cello and double bass, but is usually performed today with a full orchestra of strings, and with a glockenspiel substituting for the rare glass harmonica.

Hello, I just wanted to thank you for all the great music you've posted, it's like a breath of fresh air. I especially like "Carnival of the Animals." I've looked and there are many different versions available, but I like the one you've posted, could you tell me please which one it is? I want to get it on CD and give it as a gift to my pastor. Thank you, Sincerely, Natasha
