This is SUCH an amazing sound. I can only hope to hope to own a guitar that great in my life... and if I can't, then I'll pass one down so my grandchildren and enjoy it :)

@CE750 Because those were the first of the D-series, (after Ditson Dreadnoughts). The actual D-1 didn't come out until 1931. That gives you only 8 years of D-series production until the war. They're so expensive because they were made with materials that were retired during the war.

@stratplayer123 ok, but then how are the "pre war" D28's and D44's worth in the 100's of thousands? seems like a major disconnect.
-
@treatb09 like a d-28
-
@CE750 That is completely incorrect sir. Try 15-18 thousand.

I had the chance to play a 1939 D-18 a few weeks ago. The world should thank Mr. Martin.

I just want to say thanks. That was amazing and inspirational. It was fun just seeing how happy you were picking and singing.
Sweet. I am shopping around for an 18GE, which I'm really excited about.
For you WoW players - does it sound like he's saying "I got a home in the Undercity" or what? ;p
