  • Chec out jr.u chopped crougar 96

  • I have a 96 cat, and in low first, it bumps the rev limiter all day without shifting. Mine has the v6 and it has enough power to stay crooked as long as I need it to. 351 cleveland 4v swap soon. Keep it alive!

  • @raptorking1465

Ummm... it's the same engine. I have an 02 GT engine in my car with full heads, cams, intake off a Bullitt. Had you put it in manual 1 and feathered the throttle and got a good enough rearend it would have been fine. My bird has no problem going sideways and flipping 180's in the street even with it's 275 Pilot Sports on the back.

  • @joe735 the 96+'s got rid of automatic shift I believe... or maybe it's when they introduced it. I can't remember now... but like you said you can get rid of it in the tune. I got rid of all forced shifts including into OD.

  • @joe735 well i aint really worried about it. my mustang does this without even trying

  • @raptorking1465 Dude its got plenty of power if you woulda kept it in low gear. Then again, i think i remember those cars automatically shifting to 2nd, even in low, which is what the previous owner of mine got rid of with a tune. Other than that, power wasnt an issue. Shitty little KA block nissan 240's have enough to clutch kick and drift that.

  • @joe735 that was my old car now i have a 02 gt with full bolt ons. the cougar just didnt have the hp to go all the way around

  • I thought it was gonna kick ass to see an auto cougar make it all the way around the island several times, but you lost it. Try it some more, dont be afraid to put your foot into it, and when you can get it around several times, re-record it cause it would be awsome to see. Check out my videos drifting my 02 GT. First car i had on the road was a 96 cougar 4.6, and used to do all kinds of shit in that thing.

  • if your looking for more hp then try changing your exhaust to get rid of the usless converters and get a cold air intake that should add at least 50 hp just doing that

  • Man what was done to that car, it sounds great and looks like it runs great! Help me out man, i have a cougar and i want to know how i can get it to put out some more horsepower.
