You watch this and watch gymnasts such as Dobre and Silivas and wonder how it is that Romanian gymnastics descended into such unimaginative robotics in the mid to late 90's. This girl could dance! So could Aurelia and Dani. What a pleasure she was to watch.

the lights went out? why? i would be scared to death too, what if the lights went out when she was upside down?

@kristirulesice Natalia Yuchenko would have won a couple of Gold medals too, the two of them on the same team would have been unstoppable.

She was one of the few gymnasts that could dance to corny music and make it look good.

Well said, Brenda, but what's done is done. So many ppl protest & retort when I say this, but I challenge those who DON'T KNOW gymnastics to compare SIDE BY SIDE the all-around routines of Retton & Szabo and decide 4 themselves. She (Retton) would have NEVER won this outside the states.

It's "hooked on america". Lavinia Milosovici used it in 1996 as well, really like it :)
