Why was Kelly Thomas homeless in the first place if suddenly he has loving parents? Money hungry is what they are. Where were they to keep him off the streets? Especially in the mental condition he was in.

If his mother was mourning his death she did a great job of not showing it. I find is ever so sad that with living parents this young person was homeless. There are many things broken in this modern society and the murder of Kelly Thomas was just another in a series which led up to his demise. May his soul find a better purpose in the here after.

First I do not understand why he was homeless at first pleace.His family look alright,kind a sad situation,to live on the street and not with his parents.Second how cop can let cop to commite such a crime? They should be all in the jail one way or the other.I would charge them all who ever was there.One guilty all guilty.Aws a cop you should take care of citizens,they pay you to work not to commite a CRIME.

@soblank1967 Explain how to "cage" a person that is mentally ill, an adult, doesnt want "parants"rules (as most young people don't) and is not or has not been, a threat to anyone or himself? How do you define violence? Hands up or beating and tasing people. He had a cognitive disfunction the cop new about. He murderd him with overwhelming unneccessary violence. He was not given a lawful order. Authority is not law. It is given in respect of the law. The officers did not follow law, just policy.
