Some people say the knuckleball is too gimmicky, but it worked. Niekro had the best knuckler I've ever seen. Moved all over the place and could make the batter look foolish.

As a former collegiate catcher who caught a knuckleballer, you should feel more sorry for the catcher, as he is the one who has to chase the ball after it gets away. Toughest workout of my life behind the plate on the days that he pitched.
