13' 600 Pound Alligator moved into a irrigation pond on a family farm and had to be put down to protect the family that lives there.

Nice gator, gonna be alot of meals made out of him. We can't hunt them that way here, gotta use a bow, harpoon or snatch hook. We are only allowed a pistol or bang stick in the boat when hunting gators. Too all these folks talking about moving into a gator's habitat, what do yall think the area was that you lived in prior to being a city  It was habitat of some animal or other that ended up getting killed off so you can live in your lil ol apartment, townhouse or home.

@Jeff3230 Gator didn't walk into your yard and start threatening you. People like yourself more than likely disturbed where ever it was located, so it moved to your dumb ass back yard. It's one of the longest surviving animals known in the entire universe thus far. To bad he was threatening you though. Can't just tranq it? Or avoid it for a week see if it leaves? no one has the right to tell them they cannot protect there family, weather it be a 600 gator or a intruder, its there land if they dont want him there its there right to kill it , I do hope they didn't waste the meat though, ammm delicious

@lazy4295 I agree with you ,BUT, there are some undeniable cases where an alligator has attacked children, even though there is an abundance of other food.. So I guess these guys are within their rights to "remove" the gators.
