The squat jump is a very advanced exercise and should only be performed when you are able to complete a few sets of weighted squats using proper technique.

Make sure you maintain good posture throughout the exercise. By this I mean
, keep your back straight and face forward, not looking towards the ground. On the down movement imagine you are sitting on a chair, stick your butt out and extend your arms out in front of you for balance.

Go down as far as confortable, I go all the way down as this helps me pickup momentum on the way up and also works your glutes much more. If you have knee problems dont bend your knees more than 90 degrees and make sure your knees dont go past your middle toes.

Okay when you lower yourself down take a deep breath and when you explode upward exhale as hard as you can. Repeat as may times as you can. Excellent plyometric exercise that will improve you running and jumpping.

Enjoy and visit my web site.
Thank You

  • While keeping the hands up when you squat is probably more difficult, but I think that swinging the arms down on the squat is more natural. As kicking up the body, explode the arms out into a starburst. Again, it's more natural to use the momentum of the arms.

  • Do them for about 45 seconds and you'll start to feel a burn.

  • what?
