XETV is now San Diego 6. KSWB is now Fox 5 Sand Diego.

The whataburger guy was dropped for the Tribune/KSWB announcer although another female announcer is now being used. I still think the KSWB announcer will be used. Also on Friday will be a new website based on KPLR's new site.

I get the sense XETV is gonna try to challenge KUSI, not just for the 10pm slot which they have been doing for about 9 years, but now they will challenge the 11pm slot.

To answer Tchock's query, starting on Aug.1, 2008, all FOX network programming will move to cable 5-hd705/ch.69 (for non cable customers), while CW network programming will move to channel 6-hd706 (cable). Thats the only change I'm syndicated shows such as the That 70's Show Simpsons, and Seinfeld will still remain on ch. 6. While syndicated shows such as Family Guy and Two and a Half Men will remain on cable 5/ch. 69 at their normal time.

can someone tell me what programming will be on the fox 5 channel? are the primetime shows that are currently showing on fox 6 going to be broadcast on 5 and 6? sorry if this question sounds stupid i just still don't understand...

If you have Dish Network or DirecTV, just tune to channel 69. I don't think the carriage agreements would have changed. I don't know if those two satellite providers provide KSWB-TV/DT (FOX 5 as of 8/1/08) in HD. Maybe someone can verify this.
