  • He was a man of humble spirit and deep love for Christ, a great privilege to have met him in person.

  • It was a privilege to take Uncle John for bird watching for two early mornings before Lausanne II in 1989 at the foot of Mt. Makiling in the College of Forestry, UPLB in Laguna where he noted over 30 endemic birds.

It was an honor to sit at his feet when he gave me scholarship to London Institute for Contemporary Christianity in 1990. He greatly influenced the way I study and teach the Bible, my theology and paradigm in ministry. 2 photos of his visit at our Guidance Center is in this video.

  • It saddens me that I wasn't able to meet him personally. His book Basic Christianity was a required reading before going to Inter Varsity's one month discipleship and leadership camp and it changed my views on Christianity. He maybe with the Father. But I know his legacy will continue on. Praise God for such an inspiring mentor!

  • I thank God for John Stott. The Bible Speaks Today edited by Stott is simply a remarkable landmark commentary series. The exposition on Sermon of the Mount in that series is a must read. His last book "The Radical Disciple" is a fitting finale to his writing career. Even at 88, he still can think clearly about what essentially being a Christian is about. We can extend Stott's influence and legacy by introducing his books to the next generation. Well done! Good and faithful servant.

  • I grew up on John Stott; my father read all his books and made sure I did too. When eventually I met him, invited to share a teaching series with him at a week-long Sixth Formers' conference at LICC, I wasn't prepared for his humility, grace and deep interest in everybody he met. I still remember how proud he was of having received his senior citizen's bus pass - and yet how easily he commanded the respect and affection of 18-year-olds who had never heard of him before.

  • Truly truly inspiring man of God. This God's servant, faithful to the end, is now with the One who he served all his life and in whom he had total confidence... I believe the heaven is celebrating his home coming.... to God be all the glory!!

    In memory of John Stott

  • I bless his memory. His teachings & books have impacted my life

  • Alexander Mar Thoma at 2:40 and other bishops at 2:45

  • But no words of commendation will be as significant as the words John Stott heard earlier today: “Well done, my good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your master

  • Words can not express John Stott's life! He will be missed. Thank God to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord
