New views of the most distant touchdown ever made by a spacecraft were released by NASA, ESA & the Univ. of Arizona. The movies show the dramatic descent of the Huygens probe to the surface of Saturn's moon Titan on Jan. 14, 2005. The movies were put together with data from the Descent Imager/Spectral Radiometer during the 147-minute descent.

  • @gorgeconowitz no, except for the first few seconds

  • @MarvelsofaLifetime I have Faith - I believe in both God and Science. This hatred you say is keeping us back is on display towards religion - and as such, religion is not the only source of hatred and biggotry. As those with religion should turn their views inward to how they relate to God or other various sources; you should turn your views inward and re-examine your own values and outlook. We all should let others deal with their own spirituality without interferring - wouldn't you agree?

  • You wouldn't want to live on Titan. You'd be stuck behind Saturn's shadow for 10 years and freeze your a** off. The good news...you would have an endless supply of methane for your heaters to stay warm for that time. ;)

  • @gorgeconowitz actually no, although the begining is where he goes towards the moon. as soon as the numbers appear in the bottome right corner, its filming.

  • is this an animation?

  • Visit it in my lifetime.

  • This video reminds me that the only problem really with humanity and the only thing that is holding us back and keeping us filled with hatred, is religion. Maybe it will die in time so that I can visit this magnificent world.

  • No, i dont think we should live on Titan. But Tutan has liquid methane which is poison for us humans, but the liquid methan can give molcules a chance to interact to possibly form inteligent life.

  • aside from the silly carl sagan narration, its a cool clip

  • @illuminatislut WTF? Are you on drugs?
