Funk's Wife, Angela training with the great Jean Charles Skarbowsky, Muay Thai legend, trainier of GSP, on the Ultimate Fighter as a coach and the best farang (foreigner) to fight in Thailand in Toronto 2010.

I wanted you to get a look and feel on how it is to train one on one and with one of the best Muay Thai fighter's ever but also what some private session can do for you. Help correct technique, help with conditioning and endurance, help with fight situations, etc

MORAL: If you are a combat fighter, you must invest in private training sessions no matter what discipline to make yourself better

Jean-Charles Skarbowsky
After a flying start to his career, both in France and Thailand, where he accumulated a number of quick victories, he broke his right hand in 1997 while defending his title again in Europe. After two years of forced shutdown, he resumed his career in 1999 and made a stunning return to the highest level, overcoming the pessimistic diagnosis of the doctors.[2]

In 2010, Skarbowsky appeared on the twelfth season of the American mixed martial arts reality television show The Ultimate Fighter, where he was the Muay Thai coach on Georges St-Pierre's team. He was shown to have clashed with opposition coach Josh Koscheck, and his students often were amazed by his skill while learning the superior techniques he would apply during sparring.

  • @Bebopchiflow I did not get a chance to meet him, I was away, but my wife knows him well and had a few private sessions with Jean Charles. She said he was great, nice, funny and of course and amazing Muay Thai trainer, coach and learned so much from the few sessions that she had with him.

  • Hey funk, what's the chances you'll do a nutrition video for wrestlers/mma fighters?

  • @Keebbiinn They chances are 100% - I will put somethign together in the up-coming weeks

  • lol at 9:13 it looks like jean is trying to hide his belly!! haha! I know he's very talented regardless!

  • This video doesn't show most of the workout or the rest of the kicking drill. The kicks kept getting higher in # and harder... My calves were sore for days after, for a person who kicks regularily. I was surprised... I also play sparred with him, which was alot of fun...he is so unassuming... but incredibly deadly. Kicking Drill - Warm Up with 4 Sets of 10 a side.. very hard, powerful kicks... not speed kicking-power/no pausing. Work up 15/side-20, 25, 30, 10 seconds rest in between.
