  • actually i can sympathize with your point of view. while i think Nuno is a brilliant musician in every way, I have always hated the singer of Extreme (Gary Cherone). That guy really killed alot of their music in my opinion... His voice isn't good sounding, he is often out of key and his stage antics are so embarrasing to watch that it makes me cringe. I just feel that Nuno would have gotten more appreciation aand acknowledgent had he teamed up with someone better.

  • so true!

  • Amen Brotha! Nuno is actually one of the greatest rock guitarists ever IMHO! Navarro is decent, but not on the level of Bettencourt by any stretch of the imagination. Nuno is a virtuoso in every sense f the word: technically, melodically, improvisationally and compositionally!

  • Mountain Song performed at the Playboy Party, check it check it

  • buenismo, y la perra infernal

  • Nice little "Kid Ego" excerpt there at 3:00!

  • I will be straight with you, I only know the Pornograffitti album and few other tracks off of different albums. I do not care for their music. This does not mean that Nuno is not gifted, Extreme simply does not do anything for me. Obviously, you love the band and that is all that should matter. I am used to people not liking many of the bands that I enjoy, but it does not keep me from enjoying them.

  • Touche. I just wanted to make sure you weren't judging the band on those two songs alone. That's what most people do and those two songs are not, I feel, an accurate representation of what they are capable of. I think Nuno is amazing, as a guitarist, a musician and a human being. Let's just agree to disagree. Think how boring the world would be if we all liked the same thing!

  • Listen, music is subjective. You like them...cool. Personally, I am familiar with more material than the two singles that you mentioned and I was never impressed. There are tons of bands that have talent, but create shitty music: Journey, Van Halen (w/out Diamond Dave), Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani and any number of hair bands. You like Extreme, good for you.
