Every year at Malakoff Diggins State Park, the Rangers blast the Hydraulic Mining Water Monitor into the streets during the annual Humbug Day celebration in the historic Gold Rush town of North Bloomfield, California. It's great fun.
Unfortunately this is probably the last time for many years to come that the water monitor will be blasted in the street as Malakoff Diggins State Park is slated for closure after Labor Day, 2009.
