  • When the various countries in the world begin to adapt the system to keep check on finances , immigration , security related issues like drugs, trafficking and terrorism then the most non conceivable fact will pop out. People will not understand when they are first asked for their biometric data when they enter any country. As the biometric systems across nations will start running at full-fledged capacity , they will start sharing the databases. That is inevitable!!!!

  • This kind of UID project is not the one to be first conceived in India. It was under proof of concept study in Denmark which wanted improve its welfare system. The project did not fly due to privacy concerns and alleged misuse of data. The european countries are demographically small So accountability in these countries is easy to be kept on check , which infact is at sustainable levels when compared with India. The privacy infringement laws also come with a monetary compensation unlike India

  • What could done with such data? for example a big business house which has exclusive access to the data will get the best market projection, demand estimation, purchasing behaviour.

That means aggressive expansion from grass root level and complete monopoly of the market. Afterall a 1.2 billion populated country(world population is approx 8 billion) which an almost 60% of population below 25 years of age itself indicates the strength of one single market.

  • The UID project will become the biggest suspense thriller ever in Indian history. People will be caught unawares when they come into full realization of the consequences. The elite of India like Manmohan Singh, R Narayan Murthy, Nandan Nilekani are altruistic economists. Things will be fine as long as they are in charge of the responsibility. Such centralized data accumulation is limitless power into the hands of a few individuals.

  • India is a country with the highest financial "freedom". Here anything goes in stacking up very huge property on a scale not possible in many developed countries. Evidence is in the accumulation of the national GDP in swiss banks where indian elite have the highest liquidity share. That "sort of freedom" will now be hugely dampened when the UID comes into place. People are in the dark precisely about this issue which actually comes under ACCOUNTABILITY.

  • Anyone who wants to open a bank account, avail for a loan for housing, education, agriculture, businesses and also cost reimbursement for higher education and major surgeries in states like A.P etc will be told that submission of UID number is mandatory. Not to speak about financial mobility of individuals, insurance claims , credit ratings, property transfer etc which will subsequently fall under the scanner.

  • All departments in India bureaucracy encompassing individual records such as property registrations, tax records, PAN card numbers, ration cards, residence , educational qualifications will come under one ambit. People are rhetorically being subjected to a privacy policy which places the decision of giving away their biometric data into their own hands. That comes with a very big twist.

  • The UID project is the biggest project ever conceived in INDIA, that is bound to make a huge impact. Impact is not enough to define it, it will be a revolution.

The main purpose of UID project is to help the welfare schemes to reach the poor.

Sounds fantastic and great. But the dark side of the above statements amounts to accountability. Even accountability is a word with a positive vibe. And these are the words that are actually flying around.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ............ technology does not eliminate duplicates ......... humans do !!!! ............ it is just about adding a small small exception in a software system to allow duplicates .................. "Mantri ji ka aadesh hai ... 5 UID chahiye" !! .... LOL :-D

  • stop crying assholes , ur data will be protected under data protection act.........
