Toe Jam & Earl 3

Sega's most obscure series got a brief chance of revival on the Xbox. But, like all of Sega's series, it got left behind and the developers at Sega, I mean Sammy, only turn their heads to whoring out Sonic all of the time. Shame.

I'm surprised about all these people who claim the second was just decent or even shit. The first one hasn't dated very well, at all. At least the second one is a good platformer and has great 2D sprites. Then again, I always preferred it, even back in the day.

Not really, it's okay at best. At least Sega tried to bring Toe Jam & Earl into 3D...unfortunately, it always was one of those series that could never play as well in 3D. I think you're better off just sticking to the classic series for the Genesis/Mega Drive

The funk was cool in parts 1 + 2, but just plain stupid in part 3. I can see how people would get offended, but whatever. I'm one of the few that actually liked 2 over 1.

I liked 2 over 1 myself. The first one is terrible dated now. Great for its time, but not as well aged as 2.

@Fade2Dark In the 2nd game, you received the contents of a present the second you touched it, be it points, an extra life, or a set of super jars. Funk moves, panic buttons and funk vacuums were the only items that could be saved for later, but you always knew what they were right away. There was certainly no present selection screen. In most ways, the first two games are barely alike except in overall tone. I felt the 2nd game was less frustrating, but also more generic.
