This video was shown to Adm. Gary Roughead during his last meeting as the U.S. Navy Chief of Naval Operations. We thought the Facebook community would like to see it as well. Farewell and following seas Boss.

  • @rustyb78 then why did you post this?????????

  • Those are my chiefs!!!!

  • Very cool video, I'm sure ADM Roughead appreciated it!

  • @821Karter I think you're reading waaaaaaaaaay too much into this. I'm a career submariner and the son of a career submariner; I didn't notice the lack of submarines until your rant pointed it out. As someone who is currently serving on the OPNAV Staff I can assure you that ADM Roughead doesn't need a tribute video to tell him what submarines are doing for him.

  • god bless USA!!!!! from yours european bothers!!!

  • I'm a submariner and I am not offended at all. The fact is, submarines do not have media specialist attached to them, so for that very reason there just aren't the amount of images for submarine functions that there are for the other communities in the navy.

We don't need all the fanfare to know that what we do is a significant part of the global force for good.

  • I don't think for one single second that submariners were left out of this video for any other reason than it was compiled for ADM Roughead and what his career highlighted, the mission of fighting the war on terror, and the uniformity of all those who served in many ways alongside him. Look people, we have plenty of people around the world that bad mouth us, hate us and want to do our military and our country horrific harm. Can we accept this video for what it is and try to stay possitive?

  • Excellent Images. Nice!

  • While I completely understand your comments as to the Sub service being classified. There is no reason for an image or so to be included in the video. I have accepted that my husband will receive no fan fare and news coverage upon his return. This is a fact of "life". But for the Submariners not to be shown in any way is sacrilege! Hmmm...makes me wonder if you are a new Navy wife or have had nothing to do with Subs!

  • @821Karter you must also keep in mind that most things having to do with the sub service are heavily classified, therefore, it's a little hard to get any kind of pictures or anything made public. However, there's no reason that the sub service should not have a mention
