Who knew back in '66 that GE would own NBC some twenty years later?
In those days GE was involved with the manufacture/sale of color TV sets and also color TV cameras (for local stations; home video camcorders weren't available to the U&I till much later).
I would love to see Thomson revive the GE name for electronics. Wal-Mart would be a logical retail point since they already carry GE-branded small appliances.

@skatty14 No, there were co-ed schools in the 60s. In fact, there's a clip on the Tube of a 1959 episode of GE College Bowl which had a woman on the USC team.

Given that, at 0:09, Kostman of Princeton and Bell of Agnes Scott both signaled at the same time, I would imagine the show must have not had an effective lockout system back then.
