  • Who knew back in '66 that GE would own NBC some twenty years later?

In those days GE was involved with the manufacture/sale of color TV sets and also color TV cameras (for local stations; home video camcorders weren't available to the U&I till much later).

I would love to see Thomson revive the GE name for electronics. Wal-Mart would be a logical retail point since they already carry GE-branded small appliances.

I would love to see Audiovox (the current name rights holder to RCA) revive the GE name for electronics. Wal-Mart would be a logical retail point since they already carry GE-branded small appliances.

  • I love how Princeton, the school with the seminary, has students that doesn't know the names of the theologians :)

  • Anyone notice that the Princeton men still have narrow ties here? It's 1966 but it looks like 1956.

  • 3:50

    Go girls!

  • The host looks like a cross between a young Brent Musburger and Woody Allen....XD

  • those princeton guys were too busy smoking pot as the girls showed how clear minds know about homo erectus

  • @skatty14 No, there were co-ed schools in the 60s. In fact, there's a clip on the Tube of a 1959 episode of GE College Bowl which had a woman on the USC team.

    (sOpbWtChoy8)

That's the code for the video.

  • I guess co-ed schools still didn't exist in the 60's? lol

  • Given that, at 0:09, Kostman of Princeton and Bell of Agnes Scott both signaled at the same time, I would imagine the show must have not had an effective lockout system back then.
