"Tiento de medio registro de Baxón de Sexto tono" is a piece from the great Francisco Correa de Arauxo, particularly from his wonderful treatise "Facultad orgánica" where we find 69 tientos, most of them are for "medio registro" which means that by using a split keyboard (typical feature from the baroque spanish organ) allows to use diferent kind of stops in each half part of the keyboard; one is for the solo part and the other for the accompaniment.
I have recorded it at home with my digital organ and the open source program "jOrgan".
The stops i use are:
Right hand: Violón 8'
Left Hand: Bajoncillo 4' Orlos 8' (Generally it would be enough with "Bajoncillo 4'" but i prefer to perform it with the beautiful sound of "Orlos 8"' too)
I made it on my own and small tribute to the rich and vast musical legacy of my country, Spain and his wonderful órgano barroco, a musical treasure.
Finally i have to say that i AM NOT organist, i am singer and study historical singing; but i love organs and love to play it.
Thank you.
@Untersatz I am so glad you like it; the true is that it is an amazing music. Thank you and greetings from an impoverished Spain.
