Bryan has coached top level executives at Fortune 1000 companies (including Apple, Logitech, Google, Cisco and LinkedIn) and helped entrepreneurs build their fledgling organizations into success
stories--taking them from start-ups to billion dollar-generators (including Interwoven, Ariba, and Cadence).

Together with his partner in business and in life, Jennifer, he's now offers some of the most impactful group experiences available in the planet. These group intensives train entrepreneurs to free themselves financially and spiritually -- to transform the way they see themselves and the world, so that the distinction between "career" and "life" dissolves and each human interaction can be both lucrative and fulfilling of purpose.

A former student and highly successful coach says this:

"Bryan is one of my favorite embodiments of the divine masculine. With all the right amounts of give and take he makes art with his interactions. To interface with Bryan is to dance with your own edge. In his eyes,
you befriend all your future and past selves. To be loved by him is to die into who you dream of being."

Bryan's talk was titled "The most dangerous question on earth" and explored the essential role of paradox in leadership -- and how to resolve the apparent conflict between customer focus/intimacy and staying true to who you are -- by asking one question that can ruin your life and set you free.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

  • This is amazing. It has resulted in the most profound conversations with every friend that has seen it. One friend stopped seeing his psychiatrist after beginning to answer this question. He realized living a lie was the source of all his problems. This really cuts to the core, past all the BS. I am still trying to answer the question and it isn't pretty. I imagine the world would be a much more amazing place if more people lived the answer to this question.

  • Great talk, Brian! Thank you for breaking it down so clearly and passionately.

  • The answer is: nothing. Just to keep living.

  • Sorry I didnt find this talk engaging at all, simialr to all the people who didnt feel like standing up. Your voice is too week, you need coaching and there is no dynamic and this whole talk about paradox. Could have asked the question right away instead of boring us first for 18min.

  • Brought me to tears. I am sharing this with everyone I know!

  • THAT'S the fucking question?

  • Bryan, your talk landed as untrue. I could say "thank you" in a way that portrayed appreciation or sarcasm. Yours didn't land as either. You can repeat words, phrases, and concepts that relay truth - but how it is said makes a difference. You came across in pitch, body, and hard to follow examples as a cult leader.

Having people that hold paradoxes, portray leadership, and stay engaged is not new. It's 2000 late. What do I want? Someone who is not a charlatan.

  • Who is this asshole? What does he know about anything anyway? Has he ever been through anything? Faced and overcome adversity to REALLY test all his "insights" Mike Tyson said it best "Everyone has a plan until they punched in the face". What has he accomplished? He's a musician? What are his feats (against adversity or otherwise) that qualifies anything he says?

I'm playing devil's advocate. He's saying some cool stuff but gotta take it with a grain of salt.

  • ed wood isn't the worst filmmaker of all time. joe swanberg is the the worst.

  • Please enjoy my lecture notes: 1. Thank you for today's resources and for your vision. 2. Lead while holding paradox. 3. Don't maintain things; re-enrapture yourself with things. ~ Question: Imagine a version of your self that has no shame, nothing to prove, nothing to hide, and nothing to lose. … Now: What do you want? ~ I have enjoyed getting to know Bryan Franklin through his clients and through his BDSM presentations. It might be fun to read or write his next book.
