Holy Christ! Water cures vision in Dongri

In a reminder of Ganesha idols consuming milk in the mid 90s, water was seen oozing out of a 100-year-old crucifix at Umerkhadi, Dongri last evening. Hundreds of people living in and around Dongri flocked to witness the miracle as locals claimed that the holy water helped clear vision.




The hullabaloo began when 62-year-old Janardhan Waghmare said that after drinking the water his eyesight improved and he no longer needed to use spectacles. Few of us saw water droplets seeping from the cross. Curious to know its source, we checked to see if there was a leakage around. So, I tasted the water and put a few droplets on my eyes, thinking of it as a gift from Almighty, said Waghmare.
