0-125mph in a supercharged mustang

This is a blown 99 mustang GT. Video was taken on a dragstrip with 28" street radial tires (not drag radials), so traction was limited. The first couple revs you hear in the video is from the other car I was racing against.

Mods: Vortech S-Trim (15 psi), FMIC, supporting fuel mods, longtubes, 4.10's with 28" street tires exhaust.

Heads, cams, intake were 100% stock. This video was taken a few years ago, and my set-up is completely different now. I put in a forged shortblock now b/c I'm pushing 20psi, but the stocker never gave out with my old set-up.

@TGarzarel. Im glad there are people out there that dont stand by the "autos are for pussies, bang gears like a real man". Thats just stupid, dont get me wrong i love hitting gears hard, but an auto's simplicity and consistency really shine at the track.

@shoppy16 Absolutely. I used to think that manuals were the only way to go. This is probably true whenI was running 110-120 mph. But when I started running 125-135 mph, I quickly came to realize the truth. Even if it were possible to shift as fast as auto, often times they grind or lock you out. You can faceplate it, but then it won't be streetable. A built auto is the way to go.

Absolutely agree. Have a fully built 4r70w in my 02, I do wish I could bang gears every once in awhile, but going sideways in 2nd with an auto is fun too!
