Mark Thompson Flips Over At Daytona - 1994

During the season opening ARCA race at Daytona, Mark Thompson had a horrendous flip on the backstraightaway. Thompson broke 3 ribs and also had internal bleeding that required surgery. Thompson had a seven day stay in a hospital, but raced at Daytona again the next year.

Not sure if anyone still watches this or not, but Mark is actually my cousin. To this day he still races and did eventually recover all of his memory (Had lost a lot of it when he wrecked.) I actually just saw this video for the first time and it makes me sick to see. Glad to know he eventually recovered.

The Most Violent and Spectacular Flip I've ever seen!!!!!

It's worst that Ricky Rudd 80's flip, Richard Petty '88, Rusty Wallace 90's at Talladega, Tom Ursy 70's flip and another one I don't remember his name roll barring at a great speed on the apron and any other!!!

Daytona in 1994 was just plain deadly.  Neil Bonnett & Rodney Orr died, and Andy Farr & Mark almost died.
