snow in Clacton, views from my house this morning, Friday 8 th Jan 2010

Ok, starts with a bit of walking. Snowed all the previous night , but apparently mainstream British weather reporting doesn't recognise the existence of a place only 70 miles from London, but still, London is a different country!
As an aside, if weather reporting can be so weak, how the hell do they predict future global climate change and I speak as a scientist and an Earth scientist at that. Moreover, if governance is so impotent and indeed mum, after a week or so of bad weather, (running out of rock salt for main roads) it begs the question as to what they would do if something really bad happened, e.g. an ice age.
